Instructor Program

The Instructor Training program focuses on educational techniques, curriculum development, educational aids, and administrative and management aspects of classrooms. Students who complete the program will be eligible to take the licensing examination. Students may become an entry-level licensed Instructor upon successful completion of state licensing requirements.

The Educator Training Course consists of instruction and practical experience with emphasis on the following:

Arizona Laws and Rules

Classroom Theory and Management and Preparation for Instruction.

Presentation Principles (Practical and Written)

Remediation Methods (Practical and Written)

Methods of Teaching Professional Development (Including Ethics)

Alternative Learning

As part of his or her studies, the educator in training will study educational foundations, communication skills, curriculum development, and assessment, as well as developing cosmetology teaching skills and an appreciation of good workmanship. Our focus will be on building student professionalism, ensuring health, safety and infection control standards, developing student career paths, and providing excellent customer service.

How long is the program?

The program is 350 Training hours.
